Password-protected files are a great way to secure your sensitive documents — but sometimes, you need to remove the password to edit, sign, or share them freely. With Conholdate.Drive, you can easily unlock your files online without installing any desktop software.
Follow these simple steps to remove a password from your file:
1. Select a Password-Protected File
Start by locating the file you want to unlock. Open your Files section and select the previously uploaded or imported password-protected document from your list.
2. Open the Unlock Dialog
Click the menu icon (three dots) next to the selected file, and choose the “Unlock” option. This will open the Unlock dialog, where you can enter the file’s password.

3. Enter the Password and Unlock
In the Unlock dialog:
- Type the correct password into the input field.
- Click the Unlock button to begin processing.

Conholdate.Drive will securely remove the encryption from your document.
4. Wait for the Process to Finish
After clicking Unlock, wait a few moments while the file is processed. Once complete, the lock icon will disappear from the file in your list — indicating that it’s now fully unlocked.

You can now view, sign, convert, translate or share your document freely.
