The new Lightbox improvement in Conholdate.Drive makes it easier than ever to preview vector and complex image formats online — including DXF, DWG, STL, AI, CDR, and PLT — as well as common raster formats such as JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WEBP. No need to install any additional software or plugins; everything is rendered instantly right in your browser.

This update is especially helpful because most operating systems, like Windows, don’t include built-in tools for viewing professional design formats such as CorelDRAW (CDR), Adobe Illustrator (AI), or AutoCAD DXF. With Conholdate.Drive, you can simply upload, preview, and share these files directly in your browser — without searching for or installing any desktop applications.

How It Works

  1. Upload your vector or complex image file to the Image Gallery.
  2. After preprocessing, you’ll immediately see its thumbnail preview.

  1. Click the preview to open it in the Lightbox. The image will automatically be converted into a browser-compatible raster format (like PNG or JPEG) for high-quality viewing — all without leaving your browser.

Why It’s Useful

  • View complex design files online with no need for third-party tools.
  • Perfect for engineers, designers, and technical professionals.
  • Eliminates the need to search for or install specialized software just to preview formats like CDR, AI, or PLT.
  • Saves time and simplifies collaboration across teams. Additionally, because Conholdate.Drive already supports image sharing, you can easily share a link to any of these complex format files — allowing your colleagues or clients to view and discuss CAD sketches, designs, or illustrations directly in their browser, with no extra software required.

Note: you could convert image of any of the supported vector/complex to the raster format (like PNG or JPEG) using our image conversion tool
